Sunday 4th August The situation at Swaleside is currently very difficult for most prisoners because of the way it has been managed from the very start. There have been particular responses on two wings. Kevin wasn't initially involved in ongoing action but was among 50+ prisoners who refused to be locked up a couple of weeks ago. He was moved to neighbouring Elmley on Thursday for "re-allocation" for something to the effect of his " leadership of passive disobedience" which is a great relief as it is incredibly hard to get moved out of Swaleside. Probably his refusal of prison food and the state of his cell were a contributing factor to "good order and discipline" abuses. I visited Elmley yesterday and it is totally amazing to immediately experience a much better run prison.
